Save the Date: 2026 Gumbo Ya-Ya is set for April 18th!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida hosts Gumbo Ya-Ya at Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola — a flavorful event where amateur and professional teams compete for bragging rights as the best gumbo makers in town! Each three-person team is required to make their gumbo from scratch, and a panel of judges has the tough job of scoring each dish based on taste, smell, color, and consistency. Trophies are awarded to the top three teams, making it a spirited and delicious competition.

Guests have the opportunity to sample dozens of gumbo varieties by visiting the chefs' tables, turning the event into a true celebration of flavor — all while supporting a great cause. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida.
