Our partners make it possible
Mentoring helps children reach higher.
This year Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates (CBC) is helping kids go higher than ever by sponsoring Climb for Kids’ Sake, an alpine mountain climbing expedition up Mount Hood in Oregon and Mount Adams in Washington.
“We are proud to align ourselves with such a worthy cause,” says CBC president Rick Davidson. “The team of climbers is assembled and we’re really looking forward to the climb.”
CBC Isn’t Only Raising Awareness — They’re Raising Money
The combined heights of the two mountains is 23,526 feet. So CBC has committed itself to raising at least $23,526. Funds like that are crucial to the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission of making matches between mentors and young people.
And there’s more good news — two new mentors have just raised their hands. “My wife Tina and I are currently in the final stages of becoming mentors to a Little Brother or Little Sister,” says Davidson. “We are both thrilled about our new role as future ‘Bigs.’”
Says Big Brothers Big Sisters president and CEO Karen J. Mathis, “We are delighted to be partnering with CBC and we salute Rick Davidson and his team of climbers on their extraordinary commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters.”
Not everyone can climb a mountain. But anyone can make a difference in the life of a young person. To support our mentoring programs with a gift of any size, click here to donate.
